After running three highly successful businesses, I started my coaching business in 2001, determined to turn my passion for helping other small and solo business owners master the skills that would catapult them to success into a thriving coaching business.

The problem was that this was a new type of business in a new city and in the beginning I really struggled. The first year I made only $20,000. And that’s after having run a 7-figure business! I was stymied. Over time I began to realize that first of all, I needed to jump into the online world or I would stay stuck working only with local clients and selling time-for-dollars.

Frustrated beyond words, I did some soul searching and got really honest with myself. I had somehow gotten stuck and abandoned much of what I’d learned and mastered in my years of owning other types of successful businesses. I had no systems, no help, no real products other than coaching, no signature process that made me stand out, no profit plan. What was I thinking? The first thing I did was to get a mentor–someone who was already making 7 figures and with whom I really resonated and who could help me master online marketing where I was a complete newbie.

I made a firm commitment to do whatever it took to turn my passion for helping others into the systems, processes, products and support that would generate an amazing income. Within just a few short years my business income had tripled and my clients were experiencing great success.
